- Certified Facing Brick properties:
Palautec facing bricks are tested and guaranteed not only by our own quality assurance system procedures but also by the Spanish Association for Standardization and Certification (AENOR), an external auditing firm. This ensures the fulfillment of the highest technical properties as engineering and facing clay bricks.
- HV Manufacturing System:
Most of Palautec facing bricks are manufactured following a unique High Vitrification System, which provides our bricks extraordinary hardness and resistance on its face side as well as a lifetime warranty.
- Colors:

- Water Resistance
Due to quality, density and HV System, the smooth surface of Palautec bricks prevents completely water to penetrate through cladding face and less than <6% on its whole surface. This allows obtaining unbeatable rain and humidity exposure resistance:

Because of the minimum water absorption and their high density, Palautec bricks are resistant to salts actions, preventing bricks from damages, warps, stains, efflorescence, and color fading.

Palautec bricks are F2 (Frost Resistant) classified since their physical characteristics make them resistant in extreme weather conditions and temperature variations.

THE HS SYSTEM
The High Sintering System (HS) is the result of decades of joining R&D with experience. CLAY
Palautec Bricks manufacturing process is based on local, natural clay, a primary inert material. Furthermore, the HV System avoids any additional chemical paintings or coatings, making the brick you use non-toxic and non- flammable. It will not react with other materials, and will not release any chemicals or volatile organic compounds (VOCs).
THE PROCESS
- Environmentally Friendly Manufacturing Process:
Palautec brick’s tunnel kiln is fired with natural gas, which is very well known for being the cleanest choice among fossil fuels. For its cleaner burning it represents the most balanced energy source for construction materials industry.
- Energy Efficiency:
Palautec Brick´s manufacturing process is designed to ensure an energy efficiency of 85%. The tunnel kiln has a structure in which the maximum temperature is only reached in the middle point and keeps operating for a long period of time. The load takes the temperature gradually as it goes inside along the tunnel.
An efficient insulation keeps the structure hot reducing the heat loss through the walls to the minimum. In addition, all the removed energy associated with the cooling air flow can be re-used to heat the combustion air or be used in the drying process.
- Combined Heat and Power Plant (CHP):
Palautec’s factory includes a CHP plant that makes our facilities electric power self-sufficient. The plant also re-uses part of manufacturing thermal energy for the drying process increasing significantly our energy efficiency and reducing CO2 emissions to the atmosphere.
- ISO-14000 Suppliers:
Our suppliers are ISO-14000 certified. This guarantees that primary materials and packaging stuff we buy and use, are manufactured according to environmental management requirements, minimizing environmental negative effects and complying with applicable laws, regulations and environmentally oriented requirements.
